13 Aug Goulash
Goulash
5 – 11 August,
The Number Shop, Edinburgh.
Goulash is a five part exhibition programme for the Edinburgh Art Festival 2016 organised by The Number Shop studio residents.
In this occasion I presented For Your Pleasure, a work that reflects on the concepts of memory, interpretation and accuracy, arising from the act of representing a tridimensional world map.
This installation is composed by 32 globe maps, hand painted by memory. Each map is painted on an inflatable sphere and numbered. The globes are left free in the space allowing the audience to interact with them.
A two channel video is installed along with the balloons, at the two opposite corners of the room. The videos show a globe map being inflated and deflated, producing a repetitive sound
